The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and may shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house having a combined gross residence income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic profits won't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined get more info R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
